Sisters in Summertime :: Embrace the Ordinary (vol. 5)

Hi and welcome! especially if you're here from Someday (Hopefully) They'll Be Saints and it's your first time visiting Ordinary Lovely!  I was pretty excited and honored that Gina asked me to help host her Embrace the Ordinary link-up.  I'm so happy to be a part of it because it really reflects my state of mind, how I try to live, how I try to be, and how I try to focus this blog.  My life is so very ordinary.  But it's a cherished life.  It may be unremarkable in the worldly sense, but it's the one God hand-picked for me, and I'll definitely embrace that!  This plain ole life of mine happens to be an extraordinary blessing to me and hopefully also to my husband, children, and all those God puts in my path - even on the Internet :)

In her introductory post of Embrace the Ordinary, Gina wrote, "Aren’t our lives made up mostly with ordinary moments?  Aren’t those moments really the stuff of life, the things which make us who we are?  The ordinary moments are precious."  That was what ran through my mind when I snapped these pictures of my girls sunbathing last week.  These are the moments that knit our family and that make sisters friends for life.

"Two are better than one..."  (Ecc. 4:9)

I hope you'll join us in taking some time to consider and share the little moments, the stuff of life, that make you who you are by linking up your own Embrace the Ordinary post over at Gina's!  (the link-up is open until Wed night)
Don't have a blog??  The com box is always open :)

situations, and it is up to each one of you to discover it."

  1. "These are the moments that knit our family..." I LOVE these words, so much. The ordinary moments we love so much really are what make up our lives and families, and they are so important to cherish and nurture! I always love having you link up and share some of your heart with me. <3

Like the old song says, "comments are a girl's best friend." Or something like that... So... leave a comment! I love chatting here! Pretend you're on my back porch, kick the broken plastic sandbox toys aside, sip your iced coffee, or beer, or (__fill in the blank with your beverage of choice__) and let's talk about all the things, because back-porch blogging is what I do!
